Join us to learn about the King County Nonprofit Employment Survey launching this spring!
A Countywide Nonprofit Wage & Benefits Survey and an Employee Engagement Survey will help build a stronger nonprofit community in King County. Funded through the Veterans, Seniors and Human Services Levy (VSHSL) and administered by our partner 501 Commons, the surveys will produce an informational resource to help the nonprofit community better understand the array of influences – including wages – that contribute to successful employee recruitment, retention and satisfaction in the nonprofit sector.
Community convening session
Join us for a virtual informational meeting on Tuesday, March 9 at 11 am to learn more about the King County Nonprofit Employment Surveys. King County Nonprofit Employment Survey
The first-ever countywide survey of nonprofit employees consists of two surveys:
- Wage & Benefits Survey: asks nonprofit leaders to complete questions about pay levels and benefits. Survey completion time varies depending on the size and structure of an organization. The Wage and Benefits Survey opens on Tuesday, March 2 and will close on May 2.
- Employee Engagement Survey: is distributed to employees and asks questions relating to non-wage benefits and other items that contribute to their job satisfaction. They survey will be available in multiple languages to support equity and inclusivity. All responses will be confidential. This survey takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. The Employee Engagement Survey opens on Tuesday, April 6 and will close on June 6.
We will share the survey links with you, here on Cultivating Connections, when the surveys have launched.
Survey Participation
The Wage & Benefits and Employee Engagement surveys are open to all nongovernmental nonprofit organizations based in and serving King County. Every response will be critical toward the surveys’ overall representation of King County’s nonprofit community.
VSHSL-funded organizations are required to complete the Wage & Benefits Survey and the Employee Engagement Survey.
Survey Results
The overall results for the nonprofit sector will be presented in the aggregate in a final report anticipated for release by the end of 2021 and will be available online as an informational resource for the nonprofit community. Providers with five or more employees and at least five participants in the Employee Engagement Survey can receive a de-identified combined results summary for their organization.
