King County announces Severe Weather Shelter

In advance of freezing temperatures and forecasted snow, King County is opening a Severe Weather Shelter in Seattle. The Department of Community and Human Services will offer 25 additional shelter beds in the King County Fourth and Jefferson Building 420 4th Ave. Seattle, WA 98104.

King County’s Severe Weather Shelter will be open Tuesday night, February 9, 2021 through Saturday night, February 13, 2021.

The shelter is upstairs, above the Jefferson Day Center and will serve people who identify as men, age 18 and older. The service provider, The Salvation Army, will check-in guests until they reach capacity.

King County will continue to monitor weather conditions.
