Looking back: Supporting King County’s communities in 2021

Last year, 2021, was a busy year in the Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS). Staff and community partners launched a new program to help house homeless veterans, provided a safe place to isolate and quarantine from COVID-19, moved residents into the first Health Through Housing Hotel, ran two mass vaccination sites, provided rent assistance to more than 22,500 households and much more.

Providing assistance to thousands in King County was made possible because of an incredible team of community-based organizations. King County’s communities and DCHS thanks you for your dedication and perseverance during a challenging year.
